Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Samuel Bowles Elementary School. I am honored to join this wonderful school community and look forward to partnering with you to ensure every student has a successful and rewarding school year.

I bring more than 20 years of experience in Springfield Public Schools, serving in a variety of roles including educator, special education teacher, instructional leadership specialist, and most recently as Assistant Principal at the Gerena Community School, where I proudly served for the past five years. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to supporting students, families, and staff in creating positive learning environments where all children can thrive.

At the core of my educational philosophy is a simple but powerful belief: all students can learn and grow. I hold high expectations for both students and staff because I know that when we challenge ourselves, support one another, and work together, great things are possible.

This year, our school theme is "We Grow Together." These three words reflect our commitment to building a strong community where students, families, and staff learn from one another, celebrate successes together, and support each other through challenges. Growth happens when we work collectively toward a common goal, and I am excited to see all that we will accomplish as a school community.

As a parent myself, I understand how important it is to advocate for your child. Families are a child's first and most important teachers, and your voice matters. I encourage you to stay engaged, ask questions, and share your thoughts and concerns. My door is always open. Please do not hesitate to call, email, or stop by if there is anything you would like to discuss. Open communication and strong partnerships are essential to our students' success.
